Wow, the past couple of months have just flown by! The start of the re-enactment season is always a busy time and this year has been exceptionally so! In February we attended The International Living History Fair and in March, The Original Re-enactors Market. We met many wonderful re-enactors and living history enthusiasts and got the opportunity to stock up on some kit!
At the end of March our editor, Rachel, had the wonderful opportunity of attending the 150th anniversary re-enactment at Shiloh in Tennessee!
“It was an amazing experience to be part of this American Civil War event and one that I will always remember!”
There are many events taking place in the next few months, and no doubt many of you will be attending in some capacity. Do let us know what you have been up to and maybe even send in an article or some photos – you could see them printed on the very pages of Skirmish!
This issue of Skirmish has some great articles. Dr Andrew Bamford takes a look at the events of the Battle of Shiloh, we find out about Napoloeonic re-enactment in Australia, the Red Guard introduce themselves, and much more!
